Awarding of Full Certification
One of the highlights of the Closing Ceremony, which was held last 25 April 2010 at Plaza Sutera Biru was the awarding of full certification to the youth for passing 3 hoisting and lifting courses (Rigging and Slinging, Fork Lift Truck Driving and Banksman 1) and for completing the attachment program with their respective contractors.
Speeches from Adinin Chairman Hj Adnin B Pehin Dato Hj Ibrahim and Labour Department Commissioner Puan Hjh Rosliah Bte Hj Hasbollah acknowledged ATDC’s efforts in coordination with Labour Department and HSBC to help address the unemployment problem in Brunei and to prove that private companies can assist the government and the country train and find jobs for unemployed youth.
Dr. Jess Ravalo and HSBC’s Boon Tek Lim led the awarding of certificates to the youth. The eight contractors were also given certificates in recognition of their participation during the attachment program.
