YDC And ATDC Collaborate To Form Heavy Vehicle Training

Bandar Seri Begawan – Registration for the short course on Heavy Vehicle Driving, a collaboration between the Youth Development Centre (YDC) and Adinin Training & Development Centre (ATDC), was opened on January 7.

The course offers youths, who are interested, the opportunity to obtain a professional licence and skills to manoeuvre heavy vehicles, which fall under the categories of Lorry Driving, Truck Driving, Off-road Driving and Passenger Vehicle Driving.

The Heavy Vehicle Driving Course Will run for one month at the Youth Development Centre, and those who pass the course will be eligible for on-the-job training (OJT) at partner companies of ATDC for a period of three months.

Upon completion of the course, the youths will be awarded with certificates, courtesy of YDC and ATDC.

Those who are interested in registering for the course must be ‘male, citizens of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam or Permanent Residents, and fall between the age of 25 and 40 years old.

Further requirements are to be able to read, write and count, as well as be able to communicate in both English and Bahasa Melayu.

Applicants must also have a Class Three driver’s licence and at least have five years driving experience.

Registration forms can be acquired from and returned to the Youth Development Centre, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in Jalan Mama Tanah Jambu BC2515, Negara Brunei Darussalam, or ATDC Sdn Bhd, G26 Soria, Brunei Darussalam, PO Box Seria, Brunei Darussalam, KB 1190, before 4pm on Saturday, January 14.
